Neil writes:

Both waterfalls shown are located in Petit Jean State Park in central Arkansas. It’s a great park with many trails, beautiful scenery, and cabins built by CCC workers in the 1930s.

Petit Jean Mountain juts up abruptly from the Arkansas River Valley. Cedar Creek has carved a steep canyon through the mountain. These waterfalls are along Cedar Creek. The one in the first photo is aptly named Cedar Creek Falls. The one in the second shot is more appropriately called a cascade and appears to be unnamed.

Observant readers may note that a cropped version of the photo atop this post also serves as the header image for this site.
