A Reorientation Of National Goals – With Thanks To Leonard Cohen

Reviewing my Cohencentric site, I came across this Leonard Cohen quotation:

I do love Canada, just because it isn’t America and I have, I suppose, foolish dreams about Canada. I believe it could somehow avoid American mistakes, and it could really be that country that becomes a noble country, not a powerful country1

And I realized that, for some of us at least, “noble’ is the priority now.
