An Online Stocking Stuffer From DrHGuy
Be A Capricious Snow Globe God Snow Globe has cracked me up since I first posted it in 2011.
Alas, this Flash-powered gizmo’s days are numbered because “Adobe will no longer be supporting Flash Player after December 31, 2020 and Adobe will block Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021.”
So, this is your last chance to enjoy my favorite online snow globe — one that empowers viewers to grab the snow globe with a cursor, give it a shake, and watch the people inside tumble around shouting “avalanche,” “earthquake,” and general indicators of panic. Then, they return to their routine affairs – the people getting into fights, the snowman eating the snowman maker, fist fights, ski jumping, and an old man yelling out the windows. If you wait long enough the old man will sleep walk into the glass.
The animation above is only a demo that shows what happens when you shake the snow globe with your mouse. The real fun is doing it yourself at Interactive Snow Globe.
Note: Interactive Snow Globe requires that Flash be enabled in your browser. Instructions for enabling Flash in IE, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, & Opera can be found here. I find the snow globe works best with Internet Explorer.

I am so bummed. This was a holiday tradition for me. I’d shake and laugh, watch the various activities. Surely someone has come up with a non-flash version? Now the hunt begins …
I’m bummed, too. If you find a version that works without Flash, please let me know.
I found a way to play it fully interactively!
Please share far and wide so that we can spread the joy. 🙂
Good luck, fellow deities!
And a very happy holiday season to you and yours.
