Leonard Cohen In 1988 – If He Had Been Two-Dimensional, 45 Inches Tall, & Made From Cardboard

I’m Your Cardboard Man

This 1988 promotional cardboard cutout of Leonard Cohen eating a banana and holding a modified I’m Your Man album with the same image on the cover measures 1.16 m (45.66 inches) in height. From the private collection of Dominique BOILE.

DrHGuy Note: Leonard was, as always, prescient. Below are the cardboard stand-ins DrHGuy and The Duchess (we’re the stiffs on the viewer’s right with our buddies, Neil & Irene Ellis, who are fully alive and portrayed in all three dimensions, are on the left) chose as their surrogates for the 2020 Covid-19-restricted Kansas City Thanksgiving visitation – 32 years after the Leonard Cohen cardboard cutout appeared to advertise one or another of his concerts.

The information about and the photos of the DrHGuy and The Duchess cardboard stand-ins were originally posted November 26, 2020,
